 Being Here- Mammal Hands

Throughout the first week of isolation, I decided to make a short film/music video to an artist I've been loving recently, called Mammal Hands. They are an instrumental jazz group, and I felt that their songs matched the mood I was feeling in isolation. Therefore I felt inspired to make a short video of ono of my isolation walks to the ponds near my house. The scenery is beautiful, and I had recently purchased an iPhone gimble that I wanted to try out.

It took two days to shoot this video. I wanted to get some sunset shots, particularly the reflection of the sunset on the water. I also wanted to get some higher quality shots of the more blue colours in the water so I went at mid day for these ones. Overall, it only took me two days to finish this video. Due to the song only being a minute and a half long, the editing only took me a few hours. I wanted to use this video to try out some new techniques with effects on Premier Pro, and feel I will use some of them in my future work. This project ended up being more of an experimentation piece with finding out things that work well and don't. Although the quality isn't amazing and some of the transitions don't work too well, I was pleased with the outcome, and learned a lot with new tricks on Premier and also how o use my gimble.
