 Shooting Schedule

Overall, I stuck with my shooting schedule with minor changes, with my cast and crew members being very reliable for sticking to shooting times and locations, and overall being a massive help for the production of my film. My cast consisted of: Aysha Leach, Eve Aspland and Poppy Payne (and myself). They also doubled up as my helpers for carrying equipment, acquiring costumes and helping with makeup. For my whole music video, I did approximately 3 hours of shooting time to complete the shots  I needed, but approximately double editing time, as I used a lot of effects/transitions to complete it.

Some re-schedules included the 11th of November. This was initially supposed to be on the 12th as this was when the full moon was it it's peak, however, the weather forecast for the day was heavy cloud cover and rain, so this would not have worked for the shoot. However, Aysha was very flexible with changing this date the day before, so I was able to get the shots.

Moreover, the group shoot on the 2nd of December was meant to be filmed on that previous Friday after college, as I wanted to film down by the Quay, however, one of the cast members were ill, so  I had to change this to a weekend, so instead the whole cast came to Bovey Tracey (where I live) and we filmed in the forest, which actually turned out to be a better location, and we managed to get some sunset lighting shots as well.

 Filming Notes

1st November-

The weather was not ideal, as it had been raining the night before and the majority of the morning. Therefore, the ground was muddy a wet, so I didn't want to use my tripod, as it would get dirty, and also the ground was so unstable it wouldn't have been a massive help. Therefore, I had to do hand held shots, so I used the cop-grip to keep them as clean as possible. It started raining heavily 20 minutes into the shoot, so I had to abandon the filming, and film another location for the fire shots.

5th November-

Impromptu shoot, but I happened to have my tripod on me so was able to film. It was a clear night, and luckily enough there was ambient lighting from a nearby street light so I was able to get pretty well lit shots. I took some panning and wide angle shots of the graveyards here, which may look better with a gaussian blur effect as the lighting wasn't great, but the shots of Eve dancing with her shadow had a strong key light so worked very well.

6th November-

Perfect conditions, was able to get very close to the fire, as it wasn't e health and safety issue (like at the school). Actors were available or a shorter period of time than I would have liked, but I was bale to get enough footage to edit down.

11th November-

Very cold wind, temperatures at 10 degrees, however it was the perfect weather, with no clouds and a full moon. We brought towel to the location and hot drinks so my actress Aysha wouldn't catch any horrible colds, I also bought her chips to make up for her swimming in the sea in the middle of winter for me film!

2nd December-

Initially I wanted to get sunset shots with warm lighting, but unfortunately we got on set running 25 minutes late, so the sun was already setting and by the time we had set up, it was already gone. However, we did have the strings of fairy lights so we were able to use some of that lighting.

6th January-

RAM filming was very last minute to get some more cutaways and portrait shots, so this wasn't on the schedule, but only took around 15 minutes to shoot on location.
