For my interim evaluation, I looked over all the work I have done so far regarding my music video. I am very pleased with the overall look of my WIX website, and feel it is interesting visually, and represents me as a film student. The content is starting to progress, with my mind maps and mood boards completed. I feel the mood bards really represent the direction I want to go in with my video, and convey the feeling and tone of the song. I found them very helpful in moving forward with shot ideas for my film and my storyboard.

The storyboard was initially quite hard to do, as I had so many ideas in my head that it was difficult to write them all down. Overall, my storyboard wasn’t as concise as I would have hoped, if I had done it again, I would spend more time on really planning out the individual shots, and planning more of what I was going to do storyline wise. However the storyboard does work well as an extension of initial images, helping me progress further in moulding my video.

Moreover, my initial progress on the lyric analysis was strong, as having written the song myself, I found it useful to really analyse the lyrics and understand what I want to convey with the song. I found by doing this, I would listen to the song again and try to imagine what shot would fit with the individual lyrics. 

My next steps from this halfway point will be to start editing the footage I have accumulated, as thus far I have only had a pay at colour grading and video effects on Premier Pro, and continue to build up my WIX by discussing cast and crew, costume/makeup, editing notes, shooting schedule and equipment. In conclusion, I feel I am at a strong point with my portfolio, and hope to continue this for the remaining time in the project.
