To help with editing and premier pro, I looked at some articles about how to colour grade. This was a necessity for my editing process, as many of my shots were very dark, including the underwater shots and the moonlit shots, so I needed to be able to manipulate these in order to make them usable in my final, video. I found this article online by Studio Binder called Colour Theory in Film. I read a lot about the importance of colour in film, and how it can be used to create mood and subtext. I watched the video below, which I found very helpful in explaining how colour is used in recent film.

Moreover, I also looked at some videos on YouTube for cool editing tricks on Premiere pro to heighten my video. Coming into college, I had never used Premier, and felt that I needed to do some extra research into the best ways to transition videos, adding cool strobe effects, blurs and effects to make my music video stand out. Adding on I also read some articles on the best ways to film underwater, with tips and tricks on getting the best lighting, the best FPS to use, and how to get rid of the fish eye effect from the Go Pro in post production.

These two articles really helped me with my colour grading, as initially I was just messing around with saturation and contrast, but not aware of the massive impact post can have with making your videos better. I also learnt about LUT's from these articles, and used some in my video.

This article was useful in showing the best ways to use GoPro's underwater, as I decided to use one of them instead of my phone, even though it is waterproof for 5m, as I felt I would be too nervous to properly film, as I didn't want to ruin my phone, and also you can't press play underwater with an iPhone.
